Ingredients

  • 3 pounds of beef bones

  • 1 clove of garlic

  • 14 cups of filtered water

  • 1/4 of white onion

  • 4 Bay leaves (dried)

  • 13 Whole black peppercorns (or to taste)

  • 4 whole cloves Sea salt (to taste)

Instructions

1.In a pot (made of stainless steel), add the cleaned bones and fill with filtered water. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to a simmer. Skim off any foam or fat from the surface and discard.

2.Add the bay leaves, onion, peppercorns, garlic, and cloves. Add more water if necessary.

3.Simmer for at least 20 hours. Ideally, 24 hours to obtain the maximum amount of nutrients. (If using a pressure cooker- 2-3 hours should be enough)

4.Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Strain the broth and remove the bones and vegetables/spices. Transfer to storage containers and refrigerate or freeze until ready to use.

5.Add sea salt when ready to eat. Enjoy!
